This study aimed to quantify the burden of disease attributable to major chronic conditions in Tuscany in 2018 using the Disability-Adjusted Life Year (DALY) framework. Specifically, it focused on ischemic heart disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes mellitus, and cancers (tracheal, bronchial and lung, colorectal, and breast). This article presents the findings of the project and their implications for public health policies in Tuscany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">[IT] Il Progetto ACAB (\u201cAttributable Cancer Burden in Tuscany: Smoking, Environmental and Occupational Risk Factors, and Evaluation of Prevention Strategies\u201d) \u00e8 un&#8217;iniziativa scientifica triennale finanziata dalla Regione Toscana nell&#8217;ambito del Bando Ricerca Salute 2018.
