Riassunto: Legionella è un bacillo gram-negativo capace di sopravvivere nell’acqua e nel fango che si trasmette anche per via aerea (compresi gli impianti aerei). Negli ultimi trent’anni il numero dei casi di legionellosi in Italia è in costante aumento, nonostante la legionellosi sia una malattia largamente sottostimata.
Abstract: Legionella is a gram-negative bacillus capable of surviving in water and mud which is also transmitted by air (including air systems). Over the last thirty years the number of cases of legionellosis in Italy has steadily increased, although legionellosis is a largely underestimated disease.
